As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will monitor assigned areas through routine foot and vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with calm, professional communication. This post requires Texas Level III Armed Certification. Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors and employees at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
- Monitor for unusual activity, help to deter policy violations, and address security-related concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations, including alarms, disturbances, and medical events, and coordinate with site leadership and/or local law enforcement as directed.
- Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and required documentation, and communicate key information to the Allied Universal chain of command.
