As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to security-related concerns to help reduce incidents. You will support access control and badge verification, document observations, and communicate clearly with site contacts and teammates. Requirements

• Possess Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.
• An Armed Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to client personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, yards, substations, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public responders as needed.
• Control access at gates, entrances, and vehicle checkpoints by verifying authorization, checking identification, and documenting entries and exits per site requirements.
• Complete required reports and logs such as patrol activity, incident documentation, and equipment status checks, and communicate notable conditions to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
