Requirements

An Armed Guard Card or License is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and following protocols as required for an armed patrol post.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify any irregularities.
Monitor access points and observe activities around the site to help to deter potential threats or prohibited actions.
Maintain awareness of the environment and communicate observations and/or incidents to the appropriate personnel as directed.
Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or travelers, providing assistance or direction when needed while upholding Allied Universal standards.
Document and report all security-related incidents, activities, and/or irregularities according to established procedures.
