About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Financial Site in Charlotte, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will conduct regular patrols and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
Observe and report any suspicious activity or potential threats to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized individuals and promote a secure environment within the financial institution.
Follow all site-specific instructions and protocols for armed security-related duties, including handling and securing firearms in accordance with company and legal standards.
Assist with access control, verifying identification, and monitoring entry and exit points as required by site procedures.
Support emergency response activities, including evacuations and first aid, when appropriate.
