As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and calls for service. You will document activity, communicate clearly with riders, staff, and law enforcement, and support a welcoming environment. Requirements

Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to riders, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of stations, platforms, parking areas, and perimeter spaces to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, directing people to appropriate resources, and requesting law enforcement and/or medical support as needed.
Perform armed post duties in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies, including maintaining required licensing and training, following weapon handling and storage requirements, and documenting all firearm-related activity per procedure.
Monitor access points and public areas, verify credentials as required, enforce posted rules, and complete detailed activity and incident reports using required systems and/or paperwork.
