About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Evening Patrol Driver in Burgaw, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm, clear communication. This is an armed and driving post, requiring an armed guard card/license and a valid driver’s license. Requirements

  • An armed guard card/license is required.
  • A minimum of 6 months of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Perform armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, completing routine and random patrol patterns as directed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, using de-escalation techniques and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Control access at designated points by verifying identification, monitoring entry and exit activity, and assisting with visitor processing per site requirements.
  • Complete detailed reports on patrol activity, incidents, and unusual conditions, and communicate observations to supervisors and site representatives.
