As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols of interior and exterior areas, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor flow. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff, patients, and guests. Bring integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach while protecting what matters most.

Requirements

  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Carry and maintain issued firearm and related equipment in accordance with applicable laws, site requirements, and Allied Universal policies; perform post checks, weapon status verification, and required documentation.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, and medical-area support requests, while coordinating with site leadership and public responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, treatment areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to identify hazards, reduce risk, and report maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
  • Control access through designated entrances and restricted areas, verify credentials as required, monitor alarm and camera systems when assigned, and complete detailed incident and shift reports.
