About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, respond to situations with professionalism, and deliver high-touch customer service through clear communication. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• At least 2 years of Armed Security experience
• A valid State of Mi CPL
• Drivers Licesne for at least 1 year
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out armed post orders, security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, coordinating with on-site stakeholders and/or law enforcement, and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and perimeter, including parking areas, entrances, ATM areas and/or other sensitive zones, as assigned by post orders.
• Monitor access points and security-related systems such as alarms, CCTV and/or visitor controls, reporting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Complete written and/or electronic reports including patrol logs, incident reports and shift activity summaries, and communicate pertinent information during shift transitions.
