About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Driving Role Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and an armed post requiring the appropriate armed guard card or license. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 1 or more years of security experience is required.
  • An Armed Guard Card or license is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas on a regular and random basis, adjusting to varying working environments and conditions.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and/or public agency responders as needed.
  • Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit of employees, visitors, vendors, and deliveries in accordance with site rules and post orders.
  • Complete required reports and documentation such as incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity summaries, and communicate observations and/or concerns to site leadership.
