As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents through strong presence and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and an armed post requiring an armed guard card or license. You will support the public and staff with professionalism, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • An Armed Guard Card and/or license is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A DD214 with Honorable Discharge or an associates degree with 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Baton Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
  • Patrol assigned areas on foot and/or by vehicle while carrying an authorized firearm in accordance with Allied Universal and site policies, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate responders, providing clear directions to the public, and assisting with crowd control as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points, checking doors, gates, and restricted areas for irregularities and reporting concerns.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, patrol logs, and daily activity documentation, and communicate observations and/or hazards to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
