About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Driver in Edinburgh, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism and integrity. This is an armed and driving post, offering the opportunity to support a caring team, provide outstanding customer service and communication, and make a meaningful impact through reliable, agile service.

Requirements

Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence within post orders.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and verify credentials, authorizations, and restricted area entry in accordance with site policies and government location requirements.
Document incidents, observations, and security-related concerns, and communicate with supervisors, local contacts, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
