Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Edinburgh, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to reduce security-related incidents. This is a driving post, so you will use a company or personal vehicle as directed to support patrol coverage. You will document observations, communicate clearly, and deliver people-first service while acting with integrity and teamwork the Allied Universal way. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour Job Schedule: Day Time Mon 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Thur 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Fri 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sat 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Requirements

  • Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
  • Have 1 or more years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Monitor entry points and conduct access control by checking identification, verifying authorization, controlling vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and maintaining visitor logs and required documentation.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and/or local emergency services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify hazards, and report concerns.
  • Document and report security-related activities, incidents, and observations using written reports and/or electronic systems, and participate in briefings and post orders as required.
