This is an armed, driving post, supporting fast, clear communication and timely response while documenting observations and assisting employees and visitors. Requirements

  • A TSA Issued TWIC is required.
  • An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, tank farms, loading and unloading zones, administrative areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Control access at gates and/or entry points by checking identification, verifying authorizations, and documenting visitor, vendor, and vehicle activity per site requirements.
  • Complete routine reports and shift documentation, including patrol logs and incident reports, and communicate status updates to supervisors and site representatives as needed.
