As an Armed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will conduct routine patrols and maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, while delivering strong customer service and clear communication. This is an armed post requiring an armed guard card/license, and a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU driver policy requirements. Requirements

• An Armed Guard Card/License is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out site-specific policies, security-related procedures, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an education location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with campus leadership and/or local public service partners as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
• Control access at designated points by monitoring entries and exits, verifying identification and/or authorization when required, and directing visitors to the appropriate destination.
• Complete required reports and logs, communicate observations to site leadership, and maintain compliance with all armed post requirements including proper carry, weapon handling, and use of force guidelines.
