About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Driver Patrol in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, site contacts, and/or public agency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces, verifying credentials and/or permissions while following post orders and applicable use of force guidelines.
  • Support security-related operations by preparing incident reports, noting unusual activity, and assisting with crowd management, public interactions, and/or response coordination during special events or elevated activity.
