Requirements

• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, staff, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities within a hotel and resort location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and notifying local law enforcement and/or site leadership when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout lobbies, guest-facing areas, parking areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and high-traffic spaces to help support authorized access, protect property, and address security-related issues with professionalism and discretion.
• Carry and maintain authorized armed equipment in accordance with Allied Universal standards, site requirements, and applicable laws, while using sound judgment during routine duties and/or emergency situations.
