As an Armed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support patients, staff, and visitors with exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Possess a valid armed guard card and/or license.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations while remaining prepared to serve in an armed post in accordance with post orders and applicable requirements.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access, assist with access control activities, and report unusual activity or security-related concerns.
Support healthcare operations by assisting with de-escalation, observing patient and visitor activity, and following site procedures during high-traffic periods, after-hours activity, and/or emergency situations.
