As an Armed Patrol Officer in a residential location, you will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with calm, professional communication. This is a driving post and requires an armed guard card or license. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years' law enforcement experience OR 2+ years' security supervisor/manager experience OR 3+ years' security experience.
  • Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and staff by carrying out site-specific post orders, access control procedures, and other security-related responsibilities, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout residential common areas, amenity spaces, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor and document visitor, vendor, and contractor entry and exit, verify authorization, and assist with directing traffic and/or parking as needed at a residential location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and calls for service in a calm, problem-solving manner, provide clear verbal commands when needed, and complete detailed written reports and notifications.
  • Carry, maintain, and account for assigned equipment including duty belt items and firearm, follow use of force guidelines and local regulations, and participate in required training and qualification activities.
