Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Custom Protection Perm Hospital Detail in Lakeland, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. In this dynamic role, you will conduct routine patrols, help to deter security-related incidents, and maintain a visible presence throughout the area. Requirements

Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
Possess a corrections officer license.
Possess a law enforcement officer license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond appropriately to emergencies as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation skills when necessary.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Monitor the location for suspicious behavior and report findings according to established protocols.
Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and site management.
Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed to address incidents at the location.
Adhere to all Allied Universal policies and procedures, as well as any additional requirements specific to the site.
