As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for service, document observations, and communicate clearly with tenants, visitors, and property staff while delivering a welcoming customer service experience grounded in integrity, teamwork, and care for people.

Requirements

  • Applicants must have security-related experience of 6+ months.
  • Applicants must have 6 months+ armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, parking areas, loading and service corridors, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or access concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe site activity, verifying credentials and directing visitors to appropriate locations according to property procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional assistance when needed and supporting first responders on scene.
  • Document security-related activity, incidents, and patrol observations in written reports and logs, and communicate relevant updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
