About The Position

As a Security Officer, Armed CCW Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a financial institution location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and document observations. You will respond to alarms and requests for assistance, provide clear communication with staff and visitors, and deliver a customer-focused presence. Requirements

  • Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
  • Have 1+ years of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, customers, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access control requirements, and visitor management protocols at a financial services location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify maintenance or operational concerns.
  • Monitor CCTV, intrusion and/or fire alarm panels, and other security-related systems when assigned, and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy violations to the appropriate contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disputes when possible and coordinating with Allied Universal leadership and emergency services as needed.
  • Complete detailed reports of daily activities, patrol findings, and incidents, and communicate key updates during shift changes to support consistent post operations.
