About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Campus Patrol in Danbury, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter potential incidents and maintain a visible presence.
Monitor access points and control entry to restricted areas as required by site-specific policies.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences during shifts.
Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services personnel as needed.
Operate and maintain assigned security-related equipment in accordance with established procedures.
Participate in ongoing training to stay current with security-related protocols and procedures relevant to the location.
