About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Campus Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, staying visible to help deter unwanted activity, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Handcuffing certification is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or suspicious behavior.
Monitor access points and check identification as required to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Document incidents and/or unusual activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency personnel as needed during incidents and/or emergencies.
Maintain a visible armed presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to employees and visitors at the government location.
