Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas, with attention to changing conditions across the location.
Monitor entrances, movement, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access, policy violations, and/or suspicious activity within the facility.
Support security-related operations by following post orders, verifying credentials when required, and assisting with response coordination during alarms, medical events, and/or other urgent situations.
