About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Building Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal serving a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible throughout your shift. You will engage with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain strong communication as part of a dedicated team. Requirements

Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Possess an armed guard card or license.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Pepper spray certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and monitor for any unusual circumstances.
Maintain awareness of the surroundings and promptly report any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and verify credentials to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Support law enforcement and emergency personnel as directed during incidents or emergencies on the premises.
Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and activities during assigned shifts.
Handle assigned security-related equipment responsibly and comply with all company and client-specific protocols for armed patrol posts.
