About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Government Building in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, providing a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This role requires carrying a firearm and driving as part of your daily responsibilities. You will interact with the public, deliver outstanding customer service, and support a secure environment, all while embodying our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for suspicious activity and report any irregularities or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Interact with the public, staff, and visitors in a courteous manner while upholding site regulations.
  • Follow all Allied Universal protocols and procedures for armed patrol posts in government environments.
  • Assist with access control and verify identification as required by site-specific policies.
  • Complete detailed incident and patrol reports as directed by site leadership.
