About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol Government Building in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, providing a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This role requires carrying a firearm and driving as part of your daily responsibilities. You will interact with the public, deliver outstanding customer service, and support a secure environment, all while embodying our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
An armed guard card or license is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Baton certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor for suspicious activity and report any irregularities or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Interact with the public, staff, and visitors in a courteous manner while upholding site regulations.
Follow all Allied Universal protocols and procedures for armed patrol posts in government environments.
Assist with access control and verify identification as required by site-specific policies.
Complete detailed incident and patrol reports as directed by site leadership.
