About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Airfield Patrol in East Saint Louis, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will monitor grounds and facilities through routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor directions. You will document observations, respond to calls for service, and communicate clearly with site teams. Requirements

Have 1+ Years' Armed Security/Law Enforcement/Military Experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, hangars, production areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
Control access at gates and entry points by checking credentials, verifying authorization for restricted areas, and directing visitors to the appropriate check-in process.
Perform vehicle and delivery screening as directed by post orders, including verifying shipping and receiving documentation and routing drivers to designated areas.
Monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and access control panels when assigned, and report system issues or abnormal activity per site procedure.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calling for assistance, documenting actions taken, and supporting arriving responders.
Complete accurate patrol logs, incident reports, and shift reports using written and/or electronic reporting tools.
Communicate professionally with site leadership, contractors, and coworkers to support security-related operations, including relaying policy reminders and escalating concerns through the chain of command.
Observe for policy violations related to restricted materials, photography limitations, and controlled areas, and report concerns to site representatives and Allied Universal supervision.
