About The Position
As a Security Officer Armed Airfield Patrol Driver in Palmdale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at an aerospace and defense location as an Armed Patrol Officer in a driving post. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, control access where needed, and document observations with clear communication. Requirements
- Have 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Military/Security Experience OR a College Degree.
- Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
- Be 21+ Years of Age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Have Security Experience ‐ 5+ Years.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and/or visitors while following site-specific security-related procedures and access requirements at an aerospace and defense location.
- Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related gear in accordance with licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and post orders; use sound judgment and clear communication while performing armed duties.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and to identify security-related concerns; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
- Complete detailed reports and logs for patrols, incidents, visitor activity, and/or access control actions, using required systems and maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
