About The Position

As a Security Officer - Armed Agency Patrol in Ridgeland, SC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor check-in. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and the public, and respond to concerns with professionalism and care. Requirements

Have 1+ years' armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following site-specific procedures and supporting security-related access control at a government location.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify irregular conditions.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and assist with emergency response activities as directed by post orders.
Monitor assigned areas for policy violations, unsecured doors, suspicious behavior, and potential hazards, and report concerns to the appropriate contacts.
Complete detailed reports and logs, communicate clearly with site representatives and Allied Universal leadership, and preserve required documentation for incidents and routine patrol activity.
