Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Aero Patrol Driver in Troy, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in an aerospace and defense location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence. This position is both armed and driving, requiring you to navigate the premises and respond promptly to situations. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and uphold our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity while supporting a secure environment.

Requirements

An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

A valid firearms permit is preferred.
Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate communication and de-escalation techniques.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
Complete detailed incident and activity reports in accordance with Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
Collaborate with other Allied Universal personnel and site contacts to address security-related issues and support ongoing operations at the location.
Maintain proficiency with all assigned equipment and follow all handling protocols while on duty.
