Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a residential location, where you will monitor entrances, patrol the community, and help to deter security-related incidents. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
An armed guard card or license is required.
At least 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
At least 1 year of law enforcement experience or 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 years of security experience is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the residential community to help to deter unauthorized entry.
Respond to incidents and critical situations within the residential location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
Document and report security-related incidents, maintenance issues, and/or unusual observations according to Allied Universal policies.
Communicate professionally with residents, guests, and property management to address inquiries and security-related concerns.
Follow all site-specific post orders and guidelines as directed by Allied Universal and property management.
