Job Description As a Security Officer - Armed Access Control in Nashville, TN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer supporting government locations, where you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. This is an armed post, requiring an Armed Guard Card or License. Requirements

Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to government facilities, verifying identification and granting entry to authorized personnel and visitors.
Provide customer service by greeting visitors, answering questions, and directing individuals as needed while following site-specific policies.
Observe for unusual activities or security-related concerns and report incidents according to established procedures.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Maintain detailed records of activities, observations, and incidents in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
Collaborate with law enforcement and/or emergency responders as directed during incidents or emergencies.
