As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government-related locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and manage access to restricted areas. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to promote a secure environment, and interact with visitors and staff to provide outstanding customer service. This is an armed position, offering you the opportunity to play a critical role in maintaining a welcoming and secure atmosphere.

Requirements

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with access control procedures by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points at the location.
  • Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting visitors and employees in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and protocols as outlined by Allied Universal and the location's requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for government environments.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Document observations, incidents, and/or activities in daily reports as required by Allied Universal and location guidelines.
  • Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including coordinating with local authorities and following location-specific emergency procedures.
