As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government-related locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and manage access to restricted areas. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to promote a secure environment, and interact with visitors and staff to provide outstanding customer service. This is an armed position, offering you the opportunity to play a critical role in maintaining a welcoming and secure atmosphere.

Requirements

An armed guard card or license is required.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Assist with access control procedures by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points at the location.
Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting visitors and employees in accordance with site-specific policies.
Carry out security-related procedures and protocols as outlined by Allied Universal and the location's requirements.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for government environments.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Document observations, incidents, and/or activities in daily reports as required by Allied Universal and location guidelines.
Support emergency response activities when appropriate, including coordinating with local authorities and following location-specific emergency procedures.
