As an unarmed patrol officer at a residential location, you will conduct routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support residents and visitors with a friendly, service-minded approach. You will monitor activity, respond to concerns, and communicate clearly with your team while documenting observations. Requirements

Be 21+ years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, suspicious activity, noise complaints, medical calls, and maintenance-related concerns, and notify site management and/or emergency services as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance issues.
Monitor and document access through entrances, lobbies, and garage points as assigned, verifying credentials and directing visitors to appropriate locations per site procedures.
Complete detailed written reports of daily activity, patrol observations, incidents, and policy violations using approved report formats and/or electronic systems.
Perform access control and key or credential management tasks as assigned, including logging key issuance and tracking lost or found property according to site procedures.
Observe and report suspicious behavior, unsecured doors, malfunctioning equipment, and other irregular conditions, and communicate findings to site management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Assist with resident and guest inquiries, provide directions, and support a professional presence while following site-specific customer service expectations.
Support emergency response activities such as evacuations, fire alarms, elevator entrapments, and severe weather procedures as directed by post orders and/or local authorities.
Work with property staff, local law enforcement, and/or emergency responders as needed, maintaining clear communication and following chain-of-command expectations.
