Security Officer - Apartment Armed Patrol Driver
About The Position
As a Security Officer - Apartment Armed Patrol Driver in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a residential location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and resident concerns with calm, clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and you will use a marked vehicle to document observations, report hazards, and support a welcoming environment. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and notifying public emergency services when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Control access through patrol-based checks of gates, doors, and restricted areas, and verify credentials and/or authorizations when required by post orders.
- Complete detailed reports and logs of patrol activity, observed conditions, and incidents, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
