About The Position

As a Security Officer - Apartment Armed Patrol Driver in Tampa, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a residential location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and resident concerns with calm, clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, and you will use a marked vehicle to document observations, report hazards, and support a welcoming environment. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to residents, guests, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a residential location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site contacts and notifying public emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of residential buildings, common areas, amenities, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Control access through patrol-based checks of gates, doors, and restricted areas, and verify credentials and/or authorizations when required by post orders.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs of patrol activity, observed conditions, and incidents, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
