As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a dynamic municipal location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Ability to ride a bike is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, following assigned post orders, and assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and note unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and public-facing areas, assist visitors and staff with directions and general questions, and help support orderly operations at the location.
  • Communicate with supervisors, local contacts, and/or emergency responders as needed regarding incidents, hazards, policy violations, and other security-related matters.
