Requirements

• Able to ride a bike
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment

Nice To Haves

• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs
• The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time
• A guard card and/or license

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and reporting concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and other assigned access points, assisting with access control, visitor interactions, and policy compliance at the location.
• Support day-to-day operations by communicating with staff and/or first responders when needed, completing routine reports, and following post orders for an unarmed patrol assignment.
