About The Position

As a Security Officer - Alarm Response Driver in Allentown, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. This is a driving post, supporting coverage across the site while delivering strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial chemical and/or petrochemical location.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification and/or authorization, managing visitor check-in, and directing deliveries and contractors according to site requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, and perimeter routes to help identify unusual activity, open doors or gates, and potential hazards to report.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs, communicate observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership, and support compliance needs such as badge audits and key control.
