About The Position

As a Security Officer - Alarm Panel Rover in Sunnyvale, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related concerns. You will support access control, observe and report unusual activity, and provide helpful customer service and clear communication with staff and visitors. Requirements

  • Security Experience ‐ 1+ Years is required.
  • Client requires proof of HS Diploma/GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm Panel Experience is preferred.
  • Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or contractors at a financial services location by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and security-related procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and/or perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify irregular conditions.
  • Control access by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or authorization as required, and directing visitors according to site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services as appropriate.
  • Complete detailed daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations and security-related concerns to supervisors and site contacts.
