About The Position

As a Airport Security Officer - Dispatcher in Kahului, HI, you will serve and safeguard the airport, it's facilities, travelers, and ensure the safety and security of airport operations. you’ll be the communication hub of our aviation security operations. You’ll coordinate real-time responses, monitor systems, and dispatch officers to where they’re needed most. Position Type: Part Time - Overnight Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $3.93. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee. Job Schedule: DayTimeMon09:30 PM - 06:00 AMTue09:30 PM - 06:00 AMWed09:30 PM - 06:00 AM NOTE: First two months in this position will be working various posts for best geography and familiarization on airport property

Requirements

Valid Driver's License
Minimum of 1 year of experience in call taking, dispatching, and CCTV monitoring
Security Experience: 1+ years
21+ years of age
Have ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and physical exam
Ability to obtain AOA badge (Federal Background Check in ordinance with DOT requirements)
Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
Be at least 21+ years of age.
Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting concerns through the proper channels and documenting activity per post orders.
Conduct regular and random patrols of terminals, administrative buildings, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access.
Monitor access points and controlled areas as assigned, checking identification and/or credentials and directing individuals according to site procedures.
Complete shift activity reports and other required logs, support incident investigations as requested, and coordinate with local authorities and/or site representatives when needed.
