As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol transportation locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for all. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into transportation facilities.
  • Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the location.
  • Assist with the implementation of site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
  • Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and offering assistance to employees, visitors, and/or passengers.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the transportation premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
  • Support emergency response activities as required by site protocols.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports related to access control and security-related incidents.
