As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, manage access control, and provide outstanding customer service while using technology such as computers or tablets. Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- Be able to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for irregularities.
- Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or conditions encountered during patrols.
- Assist visitors and staff with directions and general information as needed.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and activities during the shift.
- Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and local authorities as required for incident response and resolution.
