About The Position

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driving in Lafayette, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and/or visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, yards, parking areas, and perimeter gates; document observations and report unusual activity.
  • Control access at entrances and vehicle checkpoints by checking identification, processing visitor registrations, issuing temporary credentials, and directing traffic flow per post orders.
  • Complete routine reports and logs such as patrol activity, incident reports, and shift turnover notes; support investigations by preserving information and coordinating with onsite contacts.
