As an Armed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, support staff, patients, and visitors with professional communication, and document observations. Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, licensing requirements, and post orders, including completing required checks and documentation.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disruptive behavior and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local law enforcement as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or unusual conditions; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Control access at designated points, monitor alarms and surveillance systems as assigned, and complete security-related reports for incidents, patrols, and daily activities.
