About The Position

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Grandville, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will conduct routine patrols throughout retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your presence and proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter, observing for suspicious activity and helping to deter potential issues.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a welcoming environment for all occupants.
Work closely with client staff and local authorities as needed to support security-related operations within the location.
Document incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports according to Allied Universal guidelines.
Remain alert and attentive to surroundings while on patrol to identify and address security-related concerns as they arise.
