About The Position

As a Security Officer - Afternoon Full-Time Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting a hotel and resort location. You will conduct routine patrols of guest areas, back-of-house spaces, and parking zones, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and assist guests and staff with courteous communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2+ years of security experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, and/or city issued security license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a hotel and/or resort location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of guest areas, lobbies, corridors, amenities, loading areas, and parking lots, helping to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with access issues, disturbances, medical calls, and/or fire alarm activations as directed by post orders.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, documenting security-related concerns and/or maintenance hazards and communicating them to hotel management and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Complete detailed shift logs and incident reports, preserving relevant information and/or evidence while maintaining professionalism and discretion with guest interactions.
