As an unarmed patrol officer at a fast-paced tech and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, document observations, and support access control and visitor flow as needed. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, work areas, parking lots, loading docks, and perimeter routes, with working conditions varying by site.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization, and report suspicious or unauthorized behavior to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift communications, and support site teams with security-related requests as assigned.
