You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and calls for service. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and bring a customer-focused approach grounded in integrity, teamwork, and an agile, reliable, innovative culture that puts people first.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Have supervisory experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
  • Have alarm panel experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific procedures, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government education location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help to identify unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns, reporting findings per site procedure.
  • Monitor access points and visitor entry processes, assisting with sign-in requirements, identification checks, and directing authorized visitors to the proper destination.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and public emergency services as directed.
  • Complete security-related documentation such as activity logs, incident reports, and pass-down notes, and communicate observations to oncoming personnel and site contacts.
