About The Position

As a Security Officer - Aerospace Perimeter Patrol in Rochester, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a high-tech aero and defense location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control with badge and visitor processes. You will assist employees and guests with customer-focused communication while using computer and/or tablet tools to document activity and share updates. Requirements

  • Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual conditions that may help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Monitor access points and interior spaces, verifying authorized entry, checking visitor credentials and/or badges, and directing personnel and visitors according to site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public responders as required.
  • Complete detailed, timely reports of patrols, observations, and incidents, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
