Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Have an active DoD Secret clearance.
Have a state, county, or city issued security license preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
Help to maintain awareness at an aerospace and defense location by monitoring assigned areas for unusual activity and/or unauthorized access.
Control access at gates, lobbies, and/or checkpoints by verifying credentials, issuing temporary badges, and directing visitors, contractors, and deliveries according to site procedures.
Complete routine patrol checks of buildings, parking areas, and restricted zones, documenting observations and reporting concerns through the chain of command.
Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other site systems when assigned, and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrol activities, and policy violations using approved Allied Universal and/or client reporting methods.
Assist with response to medical situations, fire alarms, and/or other facility emergencies by following post orders and coordinating with on-site teams and public responders as needed.
Support site investigations by preserving observations, noting timelines, and providing statements when requested by client management and/or Allied Universal leadership.
